all the buzz is around the Bronco Samsquantch ultimate diamond 5 star edition, but I think there is a lot of neat stuff happening with the Escape + aka Bronco Sport.

Its got a big very torquey motor, decent angles, bigish tires and when you are testing or getting marketing shots and don’t care how long it lasts...apparently pretty decent off-road.

I mean, I wouldn’t do it to my Bro scape but then again I am of the strange opinion that a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! didn’t really have anything to prove here either. How wrong(?) I was.

I’ve said this before on this site, but I am more excited for the BS. I have a buddy’s dad, who is fairly high up in Ford, got to drive a BS around for a week. Buddy only sent me two pictures: one of the front, and one of the bottle opener in the trunk door liner.

In my mind it’s just the new Forester, while the Forester has multiplied in size this seems not much larger than the second gen Forester. Which is a good thing.

Edit looked up the dimensions just to see. The BS is definitely more toaster shaped, shorter, but 5 inches taller, and a bit wider, I think that width fit the Forester is excluding the mirrors. If you figure 4-5 inches per mirror it’s not that far off.

It’s a damn tragedy what they did to my boy. The Forrester was excellent. The only car I ever drove with better 360 degree visibility out the cabin was a ‘93 Ford Escort that we cut the roof off of and took mudding.

My sister in law had a sending gen, I think it was an 04. In that Blurple color. I drive it a few times and like it ever time. It handle better than any “suv” ever should, I’ve always wanted to have an XT, but never pulled the trigger primarily because they are typically too expensive compared to their age, and mileage. Especially up here where Subaru’s tend to  rust away in 10 years.
